The profile of procurement in the public sector has never been higher with a number of central and devolved government initiatives flowing from the Gershon Report. Compared with some parts of the public sector the Higher Education Purchasing Consortium Wales (HEPCW) is very active and delivers exceptional value to its members with a minimum return on membership fees of 48:1.
This value is a result of the dedicated resource committed by its members in representing HEPCW at various working and contracting groups such as National, Inter-Regional, Regional, and all Wales.
HEPCW’s mission is;
To identify and monitor major and/or strategically significant areas of financial expenditure and establish a basis for ensuring that contracts are in place to achieve best value for money for all the Consortium members.
In execution HEPCW has renewed its strategy and seeks to promote and support its members by delegating professional representatives to attend strategic initiatives that best suit the consortium and share the information and best practice, thereby increasing its synergy.
